Social and Emotional Supports
Art Therapist:
Provides weekly sessions that use creative tools and mediums, like sculpting, painting, drawing and collages, with the aim of promoting emotional, creative and spiritual growth for their clients. They use guided exercises to help clients express themselves through art. Art therapists work with a wide range of patients who have a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, past trauma, PTSD, phobias and behavioral disorders.
Special Education Technicians:
Working with a multidisciplinary team to apply special education techniques and methods. They help to support students with individualized education plans, social maladjustments, learning difficulties, or behavioral challenges.
School Counselor: Listen to students’ concerns about academic, emotional or social problems. They help students process their problems and plan goals and actions.
Student Mentorship Coach:
Shares experiences, guidance and information through mentorship conversations to mediate conflicts between students, as well as address conflicts within families, all while promoting cultural teachings.
Educational Supports
Kanien’kéha Resource:
To provide educational services in both one on one and general education settings to students who require specialized instruction and support. They create and update individualized education plans for students and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support students to close the gaps in their learning.
English Resource:
To provide educational services in both one on one and general education settings to students who require specialized instruction and support. Developmental Supports
Occupational Therapist:
After assessing a client’s condition, they develop treatment plans using exercise, movements to develop muscle memory, sensory feedback and practice performing the tasks they perform at work and home. They provide individualized strategies to help students attain their goals.
Speech Therapist:
Assists in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. They set goals and provide strategies for students and families to use to support growth and development of speech and articulation.
